My engagement ring is the same one my great-grandmother and grandmother wore for their weddings. My grandmother gave us the ring after we got engaged. She and my grandfather have been married almost 51 years. He gave her the ring she wears on a daily basis ten years after they got married in 1960, so she passed her mother’s ring down to me.
