The last day
My boyfriend leaves tomorrow for basic training and instead of feeling sad, Im extremely happy for him. We live in two different countries so the distance alone has been a struggle, but Ive spent the last week with him and honestly, its been the greatest. Up till now ive been sad but Ive realized that when you truly love someone, nothing can keep you guys apart.
So this is for all those new army girlfriends out there that are about to be saying goodbye to their boyfriend.. Your not alone. You are incredibly strong and if you love that person you will wait. You will show them that you care and support them in their decisions, and every opportunity you get, you will show them how meaningful they are to you…. and as my boyfriend always tells me ” the sooner I leave, the sooner we can get our life started” :)
