This blog is primarily for Army girlfriends, as the admin is one, though it’s for the girlfriends (and boyfriends!) of all five branches.
I’ve noticed that there are maybe ten trillion sites for the husbands and wives, with forums talking about life on-base, raising Army brats, and being married to a servicemember.
But what about us? We don’t get to go with our soldiers. We stay behind, cut off from a lot of information, trying to be content with letters texts and emails and the occasional phone call; maybe a Skype chat every now and then. No matter how much long-distance communication we have, it’s just not the same as being there, in their arms. It’s hard.
This blog is for us. For support, for advice, for venting and ranting and solidarity. We are Army girlfriends. As they say, “There’s Strong, then there’s Army Strong.” Well, there’s Army Strong, then there’s Army Girlfriend Strong.
